Drama Queen is a Minneapolis-based collaboration of professional musicians delivering an energetic mix of today’s top hits, classic rock, pop, country, funk and dance-floor favorites.Fronted by two dynamic lead vocalists and backed by seasoned musicians, Drama Queen brings powerful vocals, nonstop energy and a show built to keep the crowd engaged all night.
Joan has been singing most of her life and caught the live-performance bug as soon as she was old enough to hit the club scene. She has performed with Phoenix, Crosswind, Jagged Edge, Frenzy and Drama Queen, and also subs for other Twin Cities bands—giving her a broad and versatile repertoire.
Christa has been singing her whole life—so much so that her parents once had to declare, “No singing at the table!” A lifelong choral singer, she has performed with ensembles including the Saint Olaf Cantorei and the Twin Ports Choral Project, and loves bringing that passion and energy to Drama Queen.
Ted has decades of experience in both part-time and full-time road bands, with literally thousands of shows to his credit. Over the years he has served as a bandleader, musician, sound engineer, and marketing and sales director, while performing on lead guitar, bass and keyboards.
Originally from the Gulf Coast and later Southern California, TK has been gigging since age 16 in original and cover bands from San Diego and Los Angeles to the Gulf Coast. Now based in Minnesota, he is glad to be performing with the talented pros of Drama Queen and continuing his lifelong passion for live music.
Mark has been playing drums since age six and has performed in successful original and cover bands since the 1980s. He recorded four albums and toured the West Coast in the early ’90s before relocating to Minnesota, where he has played with Black Water Alley, Border Patrol, Cahoots and Heroes End.
